Overview
The VOMS-100 is a 3D Video Digital Operating Microscopy System developed for ophthalmic surgery.
In the past, loupes or optical surgical microscopy were used. Today, 3D surgery with a high-resolution video microscope lets the surgeon recognise the depth of the lesion through the monitor, making the procedure more refined and precise.
The system removes the eyepiece entirely: the surgeon operates while watching a 3D Full-HD monitor in a natural head-up posture, which relieves neck and lumbar strain during long lists. Recorded 3D video can be shared through the monitor for teaching, and the built-in touch-screen GUI manages video quality and recording.
Optical zoom of 2× is combined with 3× digital zoom, controlled either from the main unit GUI or the foot switch during surgery.
Key features
Distortion free
Sometech's patented lens technology minimises chromatic aberration, so surgeons avoid eye strain, dizziness and headache.
Unsurpassed depth of field
Patented image processing provides crystal-clear images of both the immediate and surrounding area.
Head-up system
Relief from neck and lumbar pain, eye strain and headache throughout long procedures.
Touch screen GUI and recorder
Built-in GUI and recording system — set the video quality and manage recording from the main unit.
Easy and precise movement
Ergonomic design lets surgeons place the camera over the surgical area quickly and accurately.
Sharing of surgical imaging
VOMS-100 can share recorded surgical videos through the 3D Full-HD monitor.
2.0× digital zooming (foot switch)
2× optical and 3× digital zoom, controlled from the GUI or foot switch during surgery.
Clinical indications
Ophthalmology (cataract, lacrimal gland, retina, cornea, glaucoma, blepharoplasty); spine and brain (craniotomy, brain tumour, cerebrovascular, tumour removal, spinal stenosis and spinal cord tumour); ENT, plastic and dermatologic surgery (otitis media, artificial cochlea, hair transplantation, finger replantation).
Why this device
No eyepiece means true head-up posture, easy team observation and ready-made 3D teaching material from every case.
